Memorial Walk
The Ryan Lee Mohn Memorial Foundation was created when Ryan, a 16-year old student at Steelton- Highspire High School, died as a result of injuries he sustained in a car accident. As a gifted athlete, honor student, and President of his church youth group, Ryan touched many lives in Steelton and surrounding communities. His decision to say yes to organ donation one month before the accident enabled 6 people to have lifesaving transplants.
It is the mission of this Foundation to keep Ryan’s memory alive and continue his legacy by providing scholarships to graduating seniors from his high school, make donations to other charitable organizations in Ryan’s memory and promote organ donation awareness.

Twenty years in the making and our Walk/Run/Ride was another success! Thanks to you we accomplished a lot for our 20th and final year! We were thrilled to have three of Ryan’s transplant recipients and their families with us. Our motorcycles took the lead with a ride back to Hershey to visit with friends from the Gift of Life and hear about the importance of organ and tissue donation. Our kids’ obstacle course was a popular event again this year too–all the kids had a blast!
Thanks to your generosity, we raised $21,962 with funds still continuing to come in. Our hearts are full of thanks and gratitude to you as we couldn’t do any of this without your support. Although this was our final Walk/Run/Ride, this is not the end of Ryan’s Foundation. We will be moving in a different direction to continue our fundraising efforts. Our next event will be held on November 4, 2023, with a Night of Soul for a Good Soul.
Again, many thanks to you as Ryan’s Foundation will continue its mission of raising awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation, awarding scholarships to Steel-High seniors committed to college, and making donations to other charitable organizations in his memory. May God continue to bless you as you have blessed so many others by your donation and support. Hope to see you in November for a fun-filled evening with Soul Solution band!
Thank you for your continued love and support.
